Questions people ask before sending
What people tend to wonder before sending their first card.
The people you send to
What if we haven’t talked in years?
Then this is a good year to send one. A card says you’ve been thinking of them, without asking anything back. They tap a link and it opens, with no account and nothing to install.
Will my mom be able to open it?
Yes. We can email it to her for you, or you can send her the link yourself. She taps it and the card opens, with nothing to install and no password. Open a sample card to see what she’ll see.
Do they have to sign up for anything?
No. They tap the link and the card opens, with nothing to install and nothing to sign in to. At the end they can keep it on a mantle of their own, free, with just an email address.
How do I send it?
We can email it to each person for you, even on Christmas morning. Or you can send each person their own link, by text or from your own email, or show them a QR code. You choose on the Sending page.
Making it
How long does it take to make?
A quick card takes about five minutes: a template, a few photos and a paragraph. A card made around you and your year can take hours, if you want it to. Everything saves as you type, so you can start now and finish another night.
Can I stop and come back later?
Yes. Your card saves as you go, with nothing to press, so you can close it and pick up where you left off any evening. If you haven’t signed in, it’s kept in that browser, so come back on the same device.
Can I use last year’s list and photos?
Yes. Your list of people and your photos stay with your household from one year to the next. Each year’s card starts fresh, so the words and the cover are new.
Will it write anything for me?
No. Nothing here writes, rewrites or suggests words for your card. Your letter is yours, every word of it.
Can I make changes once it’s sent?
No. Just like a card in the post, once it’s sent it can’t be changed. You can still add people to your list afterwards, and they’ll get the same card.
Photos and privacy
Who can see our card?
The people you send it to, and anyone they pass the link on to. If you’d rather it went no further, lock it: then only people on your list can open it, after signing in. Search engines never see it.
Can I download everything?
Yes, any time, from your account. You get one file with your cards, your words and every photograph. Cards others sent you come as links. It’s free.
Do you use face recognition?
No, never. Faces are tagged by you, one tap at a time, and only if you want to. Nothing suggests a name.
Price
How much does it cost, and what’s free?
A card costs $60, paid once, when you’re ready to send it. It’s the same price whether you send it to 5 people or 500. Making a card is free, and so is opening, keeping and downloading cards. If you pay and never send, you can ask for $57 back within 90 days.
